Online booking engine and payments<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To check availability and make accommodation reservations, the website redirects users to an online booking engine provided by Hotelier101, through which payments are also processed using a payment gateway provided by Stripe.<\/p>\n

The booking engine and payment gateway are operated by third parties that are technically independent from the quintinhasilvestre.pt website; these third parties have their own terms of use and privacy policies, which the user should review before completing the booking.<\/p>\n

The price of the stay, the payment terms (including any deposit or prepayment), the cancellation and refund policy, and the rules for check-in, check-out, and use of the accommodation are presented to the user in the booking engine at the time of booking and are considered an integral part of the accommodation contract entered into between the user and Jo\u00e3o Paulo Henriques Tavares, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda.<\/p>\n

Pursuant to Article 17(1)(k) of Decree-Law No. 24\/2014, of February 14, contracts for the provision of lodging services\u2014when they specify a particular date or period of performance\u2014are excluded from the right of free termination applicable to distance contracts. Thus, once the reservation is confirmed, the user does not have the 14-day period to freely withdraw from the contract, although the cancellation policy displayed on the booking engine may provide for more favorable terms.<\/p>\n
